Anita’s Revenge? Chris Oyakhilome Removed As Trustee Of UK Branch

The founder of the Christ Embassy Chris Oyakhilome has been removed as a trustee of the UK branch of the church.

This is another twist to the scandalous saga of Chris and Anita Oyakhilome’s divorce, which was initiated by the pastor wife in August 2014.

After Chris’s removal Anita now presides over a seven-man Board of Trustees of the N8.2 billion rich branch, Premium Times reports with reference to the church documents obtained by the journalists.

It is believed that the estranged wife, who accused the famous pastor of “unreasonable behaviour”, has for long headed the UK branch of church while her husband had officially presided over the board of Trustees of the charity.

Nollywood actress, Ini Edo recently walked out of her 6-year old marriage to Philip Ehiagwina.
She confirmed the crash of her marriage in a series of tweets where she said she initiated the divorce proceedings to end the marriage even though she never cheated on her husband.

The new facts emerged over the weekend that Pastor Anita wants to leave her husband because of behaviours that suggest that she cannot ‘reasonably be expected’ to live with him, the court papers seen by Thisday says.

According to a copy of the  court papers for the divorce process filed at the  Principal Registry of the Family Division (PRFD) of  the High Court of Justice, which Thisday says it has, Pastor Anita applied for “divorce on the ground that the marriage has broken down irretrievably.”

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Denies Adultery Accusations, Threatens To Sue Journalists

 Oyakhilome's counsel further said the media's coverage was engineered to bring him and the church shame and ridicule, though his wife was the person who aired the allegations against him. Earlier today, Wednesday, Mrs. Oyakhilome even told Premium Times, through counsel, that the marriage had "terribly degenerated".

Though not denying the growing divorce scandal surrounding him, the head pastor of Christ Embassy Church, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has threatened legal recourse against journalists publishing stories about him and his wife, Anita's divorce.

The pastor, who spoke through his lawyer, Mr. Kemi Pinheiro (SAN), called the accusations of adultery a "false and malicious" attack against him and the church.

A pastor in Oyo has pleaded with a court to end the relationship between him and his wife after he accused her of abuse.
Matthew Olumide told a Mapo Customary Court sitting in Ibadan, the state capital that his wife, Oluyemisi had attempted to destroy his male organ.
He said:

    “Oluyemisi exposed me to public ridicule when she tore my clothes, including my underwear, and compressed my testicles. A  woman in Lagos has been arrested and arraigned in court after reports that she killed her husband.
46-year- old Olufunmilola Ogunmuyinwa is said to have always been at loggerheads with her  husband, Dare.
The accused is said to have moved back into her father’s home in the Mushin area of the state after constant quarrels with her husband.
The Nation reports that the alleged stabbing happened when her husband paid her a visit at her father's home

    Fighting was said to have occurred between them on the January 12, 2014 when the deceased visited her at the father’s house.

AN OATH I TOOK WITH MY HUSBAND HAS PREVENTED ME FROM REMARRYING

45-year-old housewife, Mrs. Suzana Abubokhale, has told a Mushin grade ‘A’ Customary Court how a love oath she took with her husband prevented her from remarrying 22 years after they separated.
She said:

    ‘I am now 45 years old but I cannot remarry or bear children because of the oath I took with my husband a few years ago. I want the court to ask my husband to compensate me for the pains and loss it has caused me. I have suffered living under the fear of the oath. Thank God the oath has now been neutralized.”

She recalled how her husband had subjected her to incessant beatings while their union lasted adding that he once hit their only daughter on one occasion.
