Woman In Mushin, Lagos Brutally Stabs Her Husband To Death

A  woman in Lagos has been arrested and arraigned in court after reports that she killed her husband.
46-year- old Olufunmilola Ogunmuyinwa is said to have always been at loggerheads with her  husband, Dare.
The accused is said to have moved back into her father’s home in the Mushin area of the state after constant quarrels with her husband.
The Nation reports that the alleged stabbing happened when her husband paid her a visit at her father's home

    Fighting was said to have occurred between them on the January 12, 2014 when the deceased visited her at the father’s house.


    She was alleged to have used a sharp glass to stab him on the neck in the course of the fight. Efforts to rush him to the hospital yielded no fruits as he was said to have died on the way.
    The defendant was thereafter arrested and arraigned before an Ebute Metta Magistrate’s
    Court for murder. The police prosecutor, Cousin Adams, applied that she should be remanded in prison pending legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP). He referred to Section 264 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.
    The presiding magistrate, K. O. Ogundare, admitted his plea. He ordered the remand of the defendant pending legal advice from the DPP’s office. He later adjourned the matter to the June 9, 2014.
