A team of U.S. experts is conducting a detailed examination of new Boko Haram video, hopes to get essential clues out of it.
A senior official of President Obama’s administration confirmed this to CNN on May 12, 2014, Monday:

"Our intelligence experts are combing over every detail of the video for clues that might help in the ongoing efforts (to) secure the release of the girls."

It would be noted that the U.S. State Department did not question the authenticity of the video, which became available on Monday morning. This is the second appearance of Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, in one week. The previous video message by Nigeria’s terrorist # 1 was released on May 5, 2014, Monday. However, the essence of the two videos is different.

In the latest video, a group of girls is finally revealed, proving that the hostages are alive. Most of them look really nervous and oppressed. In one shot, a girl almost whispers a line from the Qur’an.
The man, who claims to be Shekau, said the girls have converted to Islam. However, apart from confirming
his intentions to sell them once again, the sect leader has apparently opened a window to the possibility of negotiating a swap.
Meanwhile, the Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, ordered the officials to show the video to the parents in effort to identify the girls, described the development as “encouraging” due to the fact that some of the girls said they were not harmed.
However, the first reaction by the Federal Government is not really optimistic for the parents, as it refused to negotiate the ‘exchange’ of jailed Boko Haram members to kidnapped female students.
