Pope Francis has unveiled reforms intended to make it easier for Roman Catholics to get annulments and remarry within the Church.
Catholicism does not recognise divorce and teaches marriage is a lifelong commitment.
In order to separate, Catholics must have their marriage annulled by showing it was flawed from the outset.
The radical reforms allow access to procedures free of charge and fast-track decisions.
Until now the procedures have been seen as arcane, expensive and bureaucratic

When Orubebe took to the floor yesterday to disrupt proceedings at the Collation centre, I feared for the worst. Just imagine what would have happened if one or two of the security men had forcefully tried to remove him. He would have fought them off, the other PDP agents would have come to his defense and the police would have been called in to remove everyone using teargas.
That would have been the end of it. In the ensuing melee, the result sheets would have disappeared and all hell would have broke loose.
That President Goodluck Jonathan lost the March 28 presidential election is no longer news. Although he has been in the saddle for about six years, he has not been leading the country alone. By virtue of being very close to the President, there are men and women who have been wielding huge influence on his Presidency.
It is therefore no gainsaying that Jonathan did not lose this election alone. These people calling the shots from their various comfort zones are also losers in their own right. Who are these President’s men and women?
Firebrand cleric, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu has congratulated General Muhammadu Buhari on his victory at the presidential election and worn him to seek divine wisdom before choosing people he would work with.

The three paragraph statement by her media aide, Ayo Adewuyi, reads,
A former Niger-Delta militant, Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, says with the defeat of President Goodluck Jonathan, he and other militants may be forced to return to the creeks.
Asari-Dokubo, who hails from the same state as Jonathan, said the voting pattern showed that the South-West and the North ganged up against the South-South and South-East geo-political zones.
The ex-militant said in a statement by his spokesperson, Rex Anighoro, that it was unfair that the minorities were being emasculated by the majority ethnic groups.

BRIEF PRESS STATEMENT BY GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI,GCFR, PRESIDENT ELECT ON THE PLATFORM OF THE ALL PROGRESSIVES CONGRESS, APC. MARCH 31ST, 2015
At exactly 5:15pm this evening President Jonathan called to congratulate me on my victory. For this I want all Nigerians to join me in congratulating and appreciating Mr President for his statesmanship.
My fellow Nigerians,
Roughly four months ago, I signified my intention to represent KOWA Party at the presidential elections. I was involved in a primary with three other aspirants and emerged our Party’s nominee. The period between then and now has been challenging, revealing and deeply rewarding.
Understandably, given our political culture, we were met from some quarters with cynicism from the very beginning, ours being a relatively new party with little funding and no known heavyweights. At the same time, many Nigerians saw in our audacious candidacy the possibility of real change and a clear departure from what we have known so far as a nation.
The Peoples Democratic Party, despite their presidential candidate conceding defeat as said they will be heading to court to challenge the result presented by The Independent National Electoral Commission, through its Chairman and Chief Returning Officer, Prof. Attahiru Jega, on Wednesday, 1st of April, 2015.
The party agent at the National Collation Centre in Abuja Bello Fadile made this known shortly after the winner was declared and refused to sign the result sheet saying the results will not be accepted by his party.
After announcing the presidential election results, Prof. Jega called all party agents to come on stage at the collation center and sign the Presidential election sheet by INEC, and every agent did except the agent for PDP. He climbed the stage, spoke with Jega, shook his hands and walked away without signing the result sheet.
This baby was born yesterday evening to the family of Ahmad Gwamna and has been named Muhammad Buhari. His father didn’t name him Muhammadu or Buhari, but named him both names.
The candidate of the APC in the just-concluded elections, Muhammadu Buhari, has issued an interim message of thanks and gratitude to Nigerians for choosing him and his party over and above the Peoples Democratic Party and its candidate, the incumbent President, President Jonathan Goodluck.
The party declared victory after Mr. Jonathan called Mr. Buhari at 5:15pm to make a concession and congratulate the winner.

The key quotes from the event regarding the announcement of the results are given below:
“As I speak, very very few results have been collated. The info we have is that only 2 states have finished collation.”
“We are not under any pressure to declare elections inconclusive.”
“We will release results as soon as they are processed, within 48 hours, as promised, countdown started on Saturday’s eve.”
