Chelsi Camp, mother of 2-year-old Mackenzi Plass punched and bite a pit bull that attacked her daughter without warning.

Camp an American from Houston, Texas, has shown how fierce a mother can be when it comes to defending her kids.

Her maternal instincts saved her 2-year-old daughter, who is currently in hospital recovering from the attack, from injuries that could have been much worse, if she had not intervened.

63-YEAR OLD MAN TO BE STONED TO DEATH IN KANO FOR RAPING 10 YEAR OLD GIRL

A 63-year-old man in Kano has been sentenced to death by stoning for raping a 10 year-old girl and infecting her with AIDS.
An Islamic court gave the ruling after Ubale Sa'idu Dotsa admitted he raped her, claiming he was incited by the Devil, AP news reports.
Ubale's two wives had reportedly died from Aids-related diseases.
BBC reports that several people have been sentenced to death by stoning by Islamic courts in Northern Nigeria, but none have been carried out.

MUSLIM MAN DONATES HIS SHOES TO A SHOCKED SHOELESS BUS PASSENGER

A Muslim man presented his shoes to a shoeless fellow bus passenger before getting off the bus and walking home barefoot himself.
Prior to receiving the gift, the shoeless passenger sat on the bus with only plastic hairnets to cover his feet.


The 'random act of kindness' took place on the 341 bus route in Toronto, Canada, and was witnessed by an off-duty bus driver who took photos of the incident, which were later posted on Facebook.
"It made my heart melt," Surjit Singh Virk told QMI Agency. "He just took his shoes and socks off and said, 'You can take these, don't worry about me — I live close by and can walk."
Singh Virk added that the recipient was “shocked” by the gift and afterwards exclaimed, “What a nice guy... Did that really happen?”

MAN SEXUALLY ASSAULTS SLEEPING WOMAN ON BRITISH AIRWAYS FLIGHT

 A female passenger on British Airways was recently assaulted by a fellow passenger during a flight from London to San Francisco, the  man was caught fondling  the woman’s breast for at least five minutes, as she slept during the flight.
The unidentified woman was taking a nap when the male passenger, Vinay Pochampally, reached over from his seat behind her, and slipped his hand inside her blouse while other passengers watched, Daily Mail reports. He was said to be intoxicated while he was doing it.

Policeman abandoned by his colleagues

This incident happened this afternoon along Patigi Road in Kwara State. According to eyewitnesses, the policeman tied above and a few of his colleagues stopped a driver delivering telecoms equipment to a site at Patigi and allegedly demanded for money.
When the driver refused to part with money, an argument ensued and he was shot in the arm. (You will find the graphic pic after the cut). After the shooting, a mob descended on the policemen but were only able to catch one as the others ran away.

Woman Arrested For Allegedly Killing Three Of Her Disabled Children

 A woman believed to be the mother of three children found dead at a south-west London home has been arrested on suspicion of murdering the three children.
Officers were called to a property on Thetford Road, New Malden, at about 21:30 BST on Tuesday.
A girl, aged four, and twin boys, aged three, were pronounced dead at the scene.
It is understood all three had a disability and were cared for by their 42-year-old mother Tania Clarence.
The children are believed to have been born with a life-limiting genetic condition.
Their father Gary Clarence, who works as a director at City bank Investec, was not at home at the time of the deaths but is understood to have been informed of the tragedy.

TIME MAGAZINE NAMES BEYONCE THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON 2014

Time magazine has come up with its list of most influential people of the year. Topping the list of 100 most influential people issue of the magazine was Queen Bey, she also featured on the cover of the issue, she top the list made up of heads of state and civil activist.

Not left out of the list were Nigeria's finance Minister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote, eight other Africans made the list.
The list was released yesterday.

PASTOR CHRIS OKAFOR'S WIFE ALLEGES HE BEAT HER UP AND TORE HER CLOTHES

 The pastor of Mountain of Liberation Miracles Ministries, Dr. Okafor and his wife, Bessem Okafor are in another messy fight. Though their divorce case is yet to be finalized, the pastor’s estranged wife has accused him of beating her up when she came to visit. Police were invited and they came to pick the pastor up, but he was on the pulpit where he was ministering. Bessem Okafor, the estranged wife of the pastor of Mountain of Liberation Miracles Ministries, Dr. Chris Okafor, has accused her husband of beating her up at their home in Magodo, Lagos.
Bessem who left her home in 2012, said she had, a few weeks ago, gone to visit her four children who were in the custody of their father.

Bashorun Bayo Awosanya is a chieftain of the Ogun state chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC), he allegedly inflicted the injuries you are about to see on his wife.

According to the report Bashorun and his wife had an argument at home on Easter Sunday April 20,2014 and he resorted to pummelling her almost to a pulp.
Her cries for help got to the ears of their security personnel who helped her just in the nick of time. She's currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Sagamu.

A man who claimed to be mentally ill has been arrested in Benin, Edo state after some human parts, the sum N4 million and a gun were found on him.
It was gathered from residents that the man lived in a makeshift tent for two years under the pretence of being mentally unstable.
According to one of the landlords in area,  Pa. Onaiwu, he said sometimes the man behaved funny, especially at night.

FULANI HERDSMEN CONFESS TO MEMBERSHIP OF BOKO HARAM

It has emerged that groups of alleged herdsmen or gangs operating in the middle belt states of Benue, Nasarawa, Taraba and even those that recently killed scores of people in Zamfara state, are Boko Haram sect members.

This development came to light following the confessions of some arrested Fulani herdsmen that took part in the killings and burning of houses in Wukari, Taraba state, who disclosed to  security forces that they have taken part in many Boko Haram attacks.

A statement signed by the Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade confirmed the development saying “A group of terrorists operating under the guise of herdsmen from a camp in the outskirt of Wukari have been arrested, while others died after an attack on military check point at Gindin Dorowa, a suburb of Wukari in Taraba State”.

FATHER TRIES TO SMUGGLE HIS 8-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER IN SUITCASE

A desperate Moroccan father, Ayham Kanaan, has been arrested by Spanish custom officers after he was allegedly found hiding his 8-year-old daughter, Haniya Kanaan, in a suitcase.
According to police reports, Ayham, 38, was caught trying to smuggle his daughter into Spain so that she can stay in the country.

It was gathered that Customs officials found Haniya curled up inside a small suitcase after her single father entered Spain on a legal work permit through the Andalusian port of Tarifa.

Although Kanaan faces a fine for trying to smuggle his daughter into the country in the hope of giving her a better life, a judge has ruled that she can live with her father for as long as he works in Spain,
The judge also added that she will also be allowed to enrol at a local school.
