Good Samaritan Commits Suicide After Being Wrongly Accused
Brother WU, a good Samaritan, who was wrongly accused of running over a man he tried to help has committed suicide.
Brother Wu, 46 found the old man lying on the road, while riding his motorbike in Heyuan, China, according to eChinacities.com.
The news site said Brother Wu, helped the old man to the hospital where he alerted his family, only for the family to call Brother Wu back a few days later demanding he pay compensation for causing the old man's injuries.
His wife said he committed suicide soon after because he felt he had no other option.
Sadly enough a few days later police investigations found no collision marks on his motorbike, determining that he could not have caused the accident.
Unfortunately stories like this abound in China, where opportunistic families seek compensation wherever they can get it after an accident.
