Chelsi Camp, mother of 2-year-old Mackenzi Plass punched and bite a pit bull that attacked her daughter without warning.
Camp an American from Houston, Texas, has shown how fierce a mother can be when it comes to defending her kids.
Her maternal instincts saved her 2-year-old daughter, who is currently in hospital recovering from the attack, from injuries that could have been much worse, if she had not intervened.
Ms Camp, who was watching the dog for a friend, said:
“The dog came up and he was just curious,” Ms Camp said.
“When he smelled her, that’s when you saw it flip because I think he smelled my dog on her.”
She was only able to rescue her daughter after she punched the dog in the mouth and bit its ear off. She suffered bruises to her hands as a result and had to have them in heavy bandages
Ms Camp eventually called for help and the offending dog was shot by the police and euthanized.
