Kaduna Police Officer Arrested Over Alleged Gun-Running Commits ‘Suicide’ In Cell

The police officer, DSP Nanbol Audu , who was arrested a few weeks ago over alleged gun-running is reported to have Committed ‘Suicide’ In Cell, in the early hours of yesterday Friday. The Police officer before his arrest and death was  the Command's Armament Officer. Sahara Reporters reports

There are several versions of the story surrounding his death with the police authorities saying he shot himself to death.  Some other sources speculate he must have been gunned down in his cell.

One of his relatives, who called our New York office on the development, insisted that he was killed, pointing out that he could not have shot himself because he had been handcuffed since he was arrested.

Man Commits Suicide Because He Was Duped By His Concubine

A middle-aged man, Samsideen Akinwunmi, has reportedly committed suicide in Abeokuta after being duped by his concubine.
Akinwunmi, a carpenter, was said to have been found dead after allegedly hanging himself on a ceiling fan in his room located at Aboaba Street, Itori-Odo, Abeokuta.

According to  Vanguard ,a source said  the incident occurred on Saturday.The source further said that he saw Akinwunmi at about 2:45 pm on Saturday when he sent all his children on errand before killing himself.

A jeering crowd in China urged a hostage-taker to kill himself after he let his victim go and held knives up to his own throat instead.

According to Mailonline, Gong Tseng, 30, had been holding his cousin Cui Meng, 29, hostage at knifepoint after a family dispute broke out in the city Chongqing, in southern China.

Police managed to persuade Tseng to release Meng after a two-hour standoff, but when he turned the knives on himself the crowd lost patience.

Found Dead Head Down Inside A Well In Lagos (GRAPHIC PHOTOS)

Early Tuesday morning July 29th, a man was found dead head down inside a well (pictured above) with his slippers beside the well in a house at Akanyn street, Shibiri Rd, Ilemba in Ojo, Ajangbadi, Lagos.

Many residents of the house had fetched water from the well and even made use of the water before someone discovered there was a corpse inside it. When he was eventually pulled from the well, he was recognized as someone who lived around..a carpenter whose wife recently left him. Some people claimed to have seen him the previous day, very drunk. No one knew how he fell into the well.

A teenage Russian girl and her lover both hanged themselves from the same rope in a tree after they discovered that she was pregnant.

DailyMail reports that Irina Korovina, 14, and her lover Anatoly Maslov, 22, died and were found hanging from the same rope from the same branch. Their hands were still wrapped around each other, as tactile in death as they were in life.

Police said that with no suicide note they were still investigating the cause of death, but confirmed that the teenager was pregnant and, being under-age, the man would have faced an investigation if he
was the father of the child. Police spokesman Malik Shcherbakov said:

   

UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA NSUKKA LECTURER COMMITS SUICIDE

A lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Dr Bede Opata has reportedly committed suicide over a yet-to-be ascertained reason, Thisday reports.

Sources within the university say the 38 year old law lecturer killed himself in his apartment within the town on Saturday July 19th but his body was only discovered on Sunday July 20th.

The lecturer who holds a doctorate degree in Law, hailed from Nsukka, Enugu state and was the son of a former Commissioner in the old Anambra state, Chief Cletus Opata.

PHOTO: Pastor Commits Suicide By Setting Himself On Fire

A 78-year-old retired minister in Texas, Charles Moore, was said to have killed himself by immolation in an effort to protest against ‘lingering racism’ in his hometown.
He left a suicide note for the authorities which read: “I would much prefer to go on living and enjoy my beloved wife and grandchildren and others, but I have come to believe that only my self-immolation will get the attention of anybody and perhaps inspire some to higher service.”

21-Year-Old Man Shocks Family By Setting Himself Ablaze In Lagos

 A 21-year-old man, Utochukwu Ukandu, has set himself ablaze in the Agbado, Egbe area of Lagos State.
His elder brother, Ebuka, told The Punch “Nobody knows exactly why he took that decision. All we know is that he had been telling his parents he would kill himself, but they did not take him serious. On Monday, around 9pm, he went inside the house and poured kerosene on his body. He wet the bed with the kerosene as well, including the house. He then lit a matchstick and set everywhere on fire.”

Tragedy struck at the Onikolobo area of Abeokuta, Ogun State on Saturday when a 33-year-old man, Oluwatosin Otaiku, stabbed himself to death after his fiancee, Olaogun Oluwatoyin, discontinued the relationship.

Otaiku killed himself after his woman told him she was no longer interested in the relationship. After the girlfriend made a U-turn, the deceased was said to have become worried, and this made neighbours, who were aware of the development, to intervene. Efforts were made to reconcile them.

    On one of such occasions, an eyewitness said the duo was invited to discuss in privacy inside a shop at Safari junction in Onikolobo. Otaiku was said to have hid a knife in his pocket, prepared to end it all if there was no truce...





According to Punch, Olaogun stood her ground and maintained that she could not continue with the affair. On hearing this unfavourable verdict, the deceased reportedly brought out the knife from his pocket which made Olaogun to run out of the shop, thinking she was the target.

Olaogun was said to have immediately alerted neighbours who rushed into the shop and met the deceased stabbing himself. He was said to have been rushed to the Mercy Hospital in the Panseke area of Abeokuta.

From there, he was referred to the Federal Medical Centre, Idi-Aba, also in Abeokuta, but he died on the way to the hospital. The case was said to have been reported at the Adigbe Police Division and policemen were sent to the scene for investigation.

While they took the remains of Otaiku to the Ijaye General Hospital mortuary, three other people were whisked away in a Hilux Van marked, NPF 7092 C.

Funke, a straight-A student, flew out to Las Vegas to film her first and only porn video for the 'Casting Couch' porn flick earlier this year. She used the name Stella Ann, and talked with the cameraman about the sports she played in high school, her biology major, and her goal of becoming an anesthesiologist. She was 18 at the time.

 An American woman, Taniya Hattersfield,  committed suicide in sacrifice to the singer Beyonce who she considered "lord and saviour", Pulse reports. The 23-year-old is a new member of the church.

POPULAR LAGOS PASTOR COMMITS SUICIDE AFTER 2 FAILED ATTEMPTS

A cleric in Lagos, who is said to have attempted suicide twice, succeeded in ending his own life after a 3rd try.
Gabriel Oyebode, said to be the pastor of a popular pentecostal church in the Ikorodu area of the state, reportedly hung himself in a wooded area last month.
The deceased is said to have previously attempted to kill himself first in January 2013 and then more recently by trying to jump into a canal in the hopes of drowning.

A 45-year-old man identified as Abayomi Olarenwaju, allegedly hanged himself after he tested positive to HIV in Ondo state.
According to reports, Olarenwaju was devastated and reportedly carried out the act using a vehicle fan belt in a bush near Akure South Local Government Secretariat in the early hours of yesterday.
It was revealed that the deceased who terminated his life without leaving a note, had just been confirmed positive of the deadly virus.

A policeman attached to the Squadron 12 Police Mobile Force PMF Minna, Niger State reportedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle.

Corporal Tanko Usman, 30, was said to have parked his motorcycle by the road, walked into an uncompleted building and went on to shoot himself fatally. The incident happened earlier today after he reportedly left his duty post at one of the city’s new generation banks.

An eyewitness who wished not to be named said no one suspected anything sinister when the policemen made his way onto the uncompleted building until the loud bang of gun shot was heard.

A Chinese high school student apparently committed suicide while preparing for a lesson according to a video uploaded online.
The pupil was shown sitting motionless for a while before making it to the window reportedly killing himself. The reaction of his fellow students and the chaos which followed backs up the claim that the boy leapt from a window.
The that part of the classroom where the boy made the leap is out of shot.

Mr Bankole, whose wife was confirmed dead by doctors at the University Teaching Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, committed suicide at his uncompleted building site at Olodo area, Kumapayi, Ibadan, after leaving his rented apartment at Abayomi area of Iwo Road around 5.49 a.m.

 The entire South Campus of the University of Education Winneba, Ghana, was thrown into a state of uproar as a level 100 student of the University was discovered dead in a nearby uncompleted building.

Identified as Solomon Obeng, the Basic Education student committed suicide by hanging himself in the uncompleted building on Vals Day after realizing he had obtained 3Es in his examination.
According to the University’s regulations, obtaining 3Es in an examination meant an outright dismissal after grades have been displayed on the school’s notice boards.

Good Samaritan Commits Suicide After Being Wrongly Accused

Brother WU, a good Samaritan, who was wrongly accused of running over a man he tried to help has committed suicide.
Brother Wu, 46 found the old man lying on the road, while riding his motorbike in Heyuan, China, according to eChinacities.com.
The news site said Brother Wu, helped the old man to the hospital where he alerted his family, only for the family to call Brother Wu back a few days later demanding he pay compensation for causing the old man's injuries.
His wife said he committed suicide soon after because he felt he had no other option.
