Female Student Connives With Boyfriend To Sell her New Born Baby

A student of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Vivian Iwuji who gave birth to a baby boy on August 2, 2014 has sold her baby for N620,000.

With the connivance of her boyfriend, Obinna Ugochukwu, Vivian sold her baby for the sum of N620,000. But luck ran out on them as the buyer, identified as Ehegalara Edwin, was arrested by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the Imo State Police Command, Owerri who rescued the innocent baby.

According to Daily Sun, Vivian’s father, Mr Patrick Iwuji told the police that he and his wife were aware that their daughter Vivian was pregnant but she later told them that the baby died:

A 51-year-old woman, Ijeoma Udechukwu, has been jailed for trying to smuggle two babies into the United Kingdom.

The sentencing was carried out on Monday, 18 August, at Isleworth Crown Court. The woman, who is from Kennington, south-east London, was sentenced to six months imprisonment suspended for two years, 180 hours unpaid work.

Udechukwu was apprehended after going to the British embassy in Lagos, to present two completed applications for the youngsters which she falsely claimed were hers.
The embassy carried out a DNA test on her, which revealed she was not the biological mother of either infant and the applications were refused.

The Lagos state Police Command yesterday July 10th presented 9 year old Blessing (pictured above) who they rescued from being sold by a three female child trafficking syndicate in Lagos.

Lagos state Police Commissioner Umaru Abubakar Manko while presenting the little girl to newsmen at the Ikeja Headquarters of the command said she was abducted from her parents about 3 years ago and has been sold to different people where she has served as a maid.

Woman Arrested For Selling 2-Month Old Baby For N30,000 In Lagos

A woman in Lagos has been apprehended by the police for human trafficking.
The middle aged suspect, identified simply as Mrs. Victor, is said to have sold a 2-month old baby for N30,000.
She was arrested by the police at her home in the Sabo Ilaje area of the state after a tip-off.
Vanguard reports:reports:

    Police sources at the State Criminal Investigation Department where the suspect is currently being detained, told Crime Guard that there was a complaint that the suspect was engaged in child trafficking.

Chinelu Huma a 22-year-old prostitute has been arrested by the Enugu State Police for selling her one-month-old baby to a childless 43-year-old woman
The baby was sold to 43-year-old Ugochukwu who has been unable to conceive.
Chinelo told the Sun:

    "I am a prostitute. When I became pregnant and it was close to nine months, my boyfriend rejected it. I decided to sell the baby. When I gave birth on April 13, 2014, one lady whose name is Maria Asomba, arranged for the baby to be sold to Mrs. Nkechi Ugochukwu, and she paid N430, 000, but Asomba gave me N150,000.

Mr. Egbe Donatus and wife, Confidence, woke up with their two children, Joseph and Godwin, on Sunday, March 15, 2014, hail and hearty without an inkling that the hand of a child-snatcher lurked in the shadows. By nightfall, one of their children was gone and a search party would turn up nothing for two good months. Their second child, five-year-old Joseph, had simply vanished without a trace.

Punch reports that Donatus, a commercial motorcyclist, was away at work that Sunday, when he received a call to come back home. The missing boy’s mother, a petty trader, explained that few minutes before he was kidnapped, she came back from church with her two children – Joseph and his elder brother, Godwin.

The Imo State Police Command through its Anti-kidnapping Squad has arrested a 50-year old woman, Anne Soronnade who allegedly bought a day-old baby boy for N600,000.The original mother of the baby gave birth in a woman called Madam Nnena's house who asked to bring 30,000 to cover the expenses of taking care of her during pregnancy.

She left her baby to go and look for the money and when she came back,her baby had been sold for 600,000 naira ..Here is what the mother told "The Sun"
"I was impregnated by my boyfriend and my parents chased me out. I informed my boyfriend about the pregnancy and he told me to go for abortion. It was during this confusion that I met Madam Nnenna who promised to assist me.
