Legislators Silent Over President's Threat To Sack Sanusi Lamido

Legislators in the National Assembly Thursday avoided offering comments on the sack threat by  President  Goodluck Jonathan  against the Central  Bank Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi,   for allegedly  leaking  the letter   on the unremitted $49.8 billion oil revenue to the Federation Account  to former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Efforts made by our correspondent to get the response of some principal officers did not yield the desired result as those that were reached did not respond to calls placed to them. They also did not reply text messages sent to them.
An aide to a highly placed leader of the House to whom a message was sent seeking reaction on the issue replied after sometime by saying: "my brother I greet you." Another aide to another principal officer kept silent.
President Jonathan had asked Sanusi to resign his appointment last Tuesday, while the latter who denied the allegation that he leaked his own letter to Obasanjo  insisted that he can only be  removed by  two-thirds of the Senate members.
