Reuben Abati Lied: President Jonathan Did Lead 600-Man Delegation To 2013 UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister Confesses

Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bashir Wali, has confirmed that President Goodluck Jonathan did lead a massive 600-man delegation to the United Nations General Assembly last year, as reported at that time by SaharaReporters
It was the world’s largest, he also confirmed.  He described the size of Nigeria’s delegations to the General Assembly every year as “embarrassing.”

Mr. Wali, a former Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the United Nations, made the startling disclosures yesterday in Abuja while addressing heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). In the Minister’s words, 80% of the people in the delegation have no business being on them, and do not add any value.

SaharaReporters broke the story on September 22, 2013, disclosing that the delegation included an inner circle of about 26 people.  It was bloated by about 547 civil servants drawn from the MDAs, who overran some of New York City’s priciest hotels.

Federal Government Set To Ban 'PONMO'

Federal Government may have concluded plans to ban sale and widespread consumption of hides and skins(Ponmo)which is a delicacy to most Nigerians.

This indication emerged Tuesday  when the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina called for competent regulations that would check the consumption and sale of the product.

He said this at the 3rd joint anniversary of Animal Science Association of Nigeria (ASAN) and Nigeria Institute of Animal Science held at the University of Ibadan.

If this is achieved, he noted that livestock farmers would stand good chances of making high dollar return if the hides and skins are tanned into leather.

Italian Minister Claims He Is Under A Curse By African Spirits For Calling First Black Minister An Ape

Italian Minister - August 2014 - BellaNaija.com 01

Senior Italian politician Roberto Calderoli who sparked outrage when he compared Italy’s first black minister, Congolese-born Cécile Kyenge to an orang-utan (a specie of apes), claims he is under siege from vengeful African spirits.

He is considering asking the Pope to recommend an exorcist to fight off the curse.
When Calderoli made the racist statement, he issued an apology and refused to resign. In November, he took legal advice after being charged with defamation aggravated by racial discrimination.

The trial, according to The Independent, is ongoing.
Calderoli now believes that Kyenge’s father, who is a tribal leader, has put an African curse – “macumba” on him as punishment for the remark.

Since his “orang-utan” comment, he has had six surgical interventions, the death of his mother, fractured bones and just a week ago, he discovered a 6ft snake in the kitchen of his house.

Last year, Oggi Magazine filmed Kyenge’s 75-year-old father Clement Kikoko Kyenge performing a ceremony in the village of Katanga in Democratic Republic of Congo. Clement allegedly prayed to God for the racist politician to repent.

Calderoli’s photo was placed on an enclosed termite mound during the traditional ceremony.
“The photos and the video were unsettling. They put a picture of me in the middle of a termite mound. That is not a friendly message,” said Calderoli to Oggi mag when he saw the video.

He said that after the video, he suffered the health scares and that two friends gave him a lucky charm supposed to possess mystical healing powers but “two days later, it broke in two by itself. A wizard has told me that there are terrible forces acting against me”.

Mr Kyenge later spoke to Oggi about Calderoli’s recent incidents.
He replied, “A snake in the house is not a good sign and I’m not sure Calderoli did well to kill it. If when he apologised to Cécile he was sincere, he can feel comfortable. If, however, those excuses were insincere, the ancestors might become angry.”
