Police Declare Obesere Innocent Of Rape Allegation! Set To Release Full Album On The Incident

In a chat with Encomium magazine, on Friday, March 28, 2014, the Lagos State Police Command Spokesperson, Mrs Ngozi Braide has said Miss Nike Olaiya who accused Obesere of rape is a blackmailer and extortionist. She said they both agreed they had canal knowledge of each other but Nike was only trying to blackmail him afterwards. Here’s how Encomium puts it;

Obesere Set To Shoot Movie On Rape Scandal

Popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Abass Akande popularly known as Obesere has concluded plans to shoot a blockbuster movie on rape. The Fuji singer who was recently hit by a rape scandal is taking the advantage of the situation by turning it into a film.


According to our findings, Obesere has written a script about rape and is currently shopping for artistes who will fit into the characters. It is not yet certain if the famous musician will be starring in the movie, but prominent artistes are sure to take the lead in the movie. Unconfirmed reports also have it that a total sum of N20 million has been budgeted for the project.

 Popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere,  In an exclusive chat withEncomium magazine,  said the victim (Nike Olaiya) satisfied him in bed for the three days she spent with him.

He also discussed at length on how a business transaction brought them together.

She wanted me to assist in her business. She is just like a sister to me. So, when Alhaja Bola was informed that Obesere rice is coming from Thailand, she pleaded with me that she has a girl, Nike, who she would like to be one of the distributors. That’s how she linked her to me. I also investigated Nike through Alhaja Bola, she told me she is a very good girl.

In a new chat with Thenet.ng, Oyo State-born musical top Fuji musician revealed that no one else is as hurt as his wife and mum to his 5 kids over his involvement with businesswoman Olaiya who accused him of raping her and inserting a ring in her private part for rituals. His wife is very disappointed but Obesere insists this scandal will not affect his family.
When he was asked why he moved the case to State CID and about his wife's reaction, Obesere told theNet:
Police officers in Isolo think I’m an illiterate simply because I am a Fuji artiste. I am not an illiterate and I refuse to be intimidated, which is why I asked for the case to be transferred. How can a girl accuse me of rape four days after sex?

Popular Fuji Musician, Obesere, Arrested For Alleged Rape

The police in Lagos have arrested a popular Fuji musician,  Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere, for allegedly raping a 29-year-old businesswoman, Olanike Olaiya, the Vanguard newspaper  is reporting this morning.
Ms. Olanike said the musician raped her in his Okota residence, Lagos. But Obesere, according to the report, is insisting that Ms. Olanike was his lover and that they had sex as consenting adults.
According to the report, Ms. Olaiya, a  National Diploma graduate of business administration from Ibadan Polytechnic, told the police that she knew Obesere through one of her friends, a certain Bola Okoro.
