A 38-year-old woman almost got killed when she got tangled with seatbelt of their family car while trying to put their 3-year-old daughter in her car seat.

The woman of Brooksville, Florida, is happy to be alive after a police officer saved her from being strangled by the seatbelt on Thursday night.

The 38-year-old victim, who did not want her name to be publicized, became entangled in the passenger side seatbelt when her 3-year-old daughter put the belt around her neck.

The incident happened when the child got out of her car seat and refused to get back inside.

As the mother turned to place her daughter back into her car seat, the seat belt locked in place and tightened around her neck, making it difficult for her to breathe.

Her husband, who was driving, immediately pulled over to side of the road and tried to remove the seat belt. However, as he pulled on it, the seat belt tightened around her neck, causing her to pass out.

Her husband attempted to flag down a car for help, but no one stopped. Finally, Florida State Trooper Brad Wagner saw the desperate man and stopped to help.

Wagner took out a knife and cut the seat belt.

Emergency workers checked the woman, and after confirming that she was doing good, allowed the family to continue on their way.

It is unknown if the girl was punished for almost killing her mother.
