Jonathan To Politicians: Stop Quarreling Like motor Park Touts

President Goodluck Jonathan, has cautioned politicians in the country against turning the democratic process into a motor park where touts quarrel indecorously.

“I think we are over defining our democracy today by quarrelling as if democracy is about competitors quarreling just like motor park workers”, Jonathan stated, even as he implored the political class to put Nigerians first by thinking of how to bring development to the people ahead of the 2015 polls.

Jonathan spoke at Merit House Abuja, at the launch of the Kukah Centre, a pet project of Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Reverend Matthew Kukah. In his words:

"Democracy is not all about politicians abusing themselves, is about development, discussing issues and ideas. And of course like ours, the aspect of inter-religious harmony is key and I believe it is Kukah that will help do justice to that."
