PHOTOS: How The People Of Burkina Faso Forced The Army Take Over

The youth of Burkina Faso had had enough. They wanted no more of the President Blaise Compaore who had been ruling the country for 27 years with nothing to show for his stewardship, the had hopes that, his tenure would soon come to an end and they patiently waited.

To the rage of the youth Compaore was not ready to leave just yet as he wanted to amend the Constitution so that he would stand for re-election. The members of parliament were planning to take a vote on the proposed amendment when Irate youth marched in on them. The vote was cancelled and the rampage by the youth continued until the military took over the government on Friday and imposed a curfew  to restore calm.

The government belongs to the people and not the other way round until African youth stand up to these evil leaders they will continue to loot and impoverish the people. If they will not listen to the voice of reason, maybe they will listen to the fist of violence! kudos to the people of Burkina Faso
