Make-Up Ban For Performers Under The Age Of 10 In Ireland
Youngsters under the age of 10 will no longer be allowed to participate in competitions wearing make-up of false lashes.
This new rule is from the Irish Dancing Commission, and the ban will come into effect in this spring.
The ban will also cover 'Artificial Carriage Aids' which help to keep the arms straight.
A test will be carried out on the dancers where they will be required to raise their arms to shoulder level, to ensure they are not using the aids.
The rule change however made no mention of wearing curly wigs which many performers use.
