After 20 Miscarriages, Woman Gives Birth To Miracle Baby, Thanks To Anti- Malaria Tablets
Baby Tyler has made medical history as the first baby in the world to be born using a pioneer anti- malaria treatment which costs just 25p a tablet.
Tyler born to Kelly and Alan Moseley, a couple that had being trying to have a baby for 11 years is considered a miracle by his mother.
37-year -old Kelly admitted that "So many people were saying, 'it's time to stop. You've lost too many'. But I just couldn't. The thought 'just one more go' was all that kept me going"
Happily her perseverance paid off. And yesterday she proudly cradled Tyler as she declared "He is a miracle in so many ways. He has made our family and lives complete."
Before giving birth to her healthy miracle baby Kelly had suffered the heartache of 20 miscarriages, this is believed to be a UK record.
After 11 angonizing years, of losing 18 babies at eight weeks and 2 at five months, Kelly still can't believe she finally had the baby she yarned for, she says "There are times I have to pinch myself to make sure am not dreaming."
Kelly is eternally greatful to miscarriage consultant Hassan Shehata, who finally found the key to the happiness that had eluded her.
She saw Shehata on a breakfast TV interview in 2007, explaining how he helped a woman who had had 18 miscarriages have a baby and immediately felt "He is my only hope" She immediately wrote to him for help and he agreed.
Kelly started taking anti- malaria, hydroxychloroquine tablets daily in February 2012 until after Tyler was born, Tyler is now nine months old.
