STELLA ODUAH DENIES BEING ASKED TO RESIGN OVER N255m BULLETPROOF CARS

Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah, according to Daily Independent after a short inspection of a new work at the Murtala Muhammed Airport told newsmen that the House of Representatives’ report on the N255 million bullet proof cars did not recommend that she should resign her appointment as a minister.

Reacting to a question whether she would resign for public interest or still remain a minister, Oduah said she had equally read the report totally, stating that the House recommendation did not say so.

According to her, “I think it means you don’t read or you probably don’t understand English because I read it too. What is there is what Mr. President can and should review. That is what they said there. Probably you should go back to school.”

On the expanded departure with 30 Immigration counters, she said it would be commissioned before the end of first quarter of 2014, adding that other airports across the country would equally be completed and open for use before the second quarter of 2014.

She disclosed that remodelled Owerri, Sokoto, Akure, Yola and other airports are ready and in use and that the airports will be commissioned in January 2014.
