Christian Couple Killed For ‘Desecrating Koran’ In Pakistan

A Christian couple Identified only by their first names, Shama and Shehzad, were severely beaten and burnt in a brick klin,  where the worked, on Tuesday, by a Muslim mob for allegedly desecrating a Koran Vanguard reports

The incident took place in the town of Kot Radha Kishan, some 60 kilometres (40 miles) southwest of Lahore, and is the latest example of mob violence against minorities accused of blasphemy.

“A mob attacked a Christian couple after accusing them of desecration of the holy Koran and later burnt their bodies at a brick kiln where they worked,” local police station official Bin-Yameen told AFP.

Jalingo – Alhaji Kassimu Umar, a Lecturer at the Taraba College of Education (COE) Zing, was on Friday burnt to death in a mob action after he allegedly hit and killed five primary school pupils with a vehicle he was driving.

Mr Joseph Kwaji, the Police Public Relations officer (PPRO), of the Taraba Police Command confirmed the incident in Jalingo. He said that the mob forcefully removed Umar from the Pupule Police Outpost, where he went to report the incident, and the mob burnt him to death.

Mob In Ondo State Sets Driver, Vehicle Ablaze After Fatal Collision With Motorbike

An angry mob in Omi town, Ondo State set a driver and his bus ablaze on New Year’s Eve after a fatal accident involving the bus and a motorbike along the Irele-Omi Road.
The motorbike rider and two of his passengers died in the accident which also injured several other passengers.
Some eyewitnesses and survivors said the motorbike rider attempted to pass a vehicle, but found the passageway too narrow, leading to a crash that killed him and two others on the spot. One witness said the rider was pinned to the spot while his two passengers were thrown into a nearby bush.
Angered by the accident, a mob of irate residents of Omi town, home of the victims, set upon the bus driver and beat him to death before setting him ablaze inside his bus.
