Mrs Aisha Jummai Wins APC Governorship Flag In Taraba

Senator Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan has emerged the Taraba APC governorship candidate in Taraba State. She is a (current) Senator in the 7th National Assembly representing Taraba North (Senatorial District). She won the APC primaries with a landslide victory of 2425 votes with other candidates Ibrahim Tumba, Dr Julde S & Yusuf polling 18, 5, and 14 votes respectively.

BARBARIC!!! Angry Mob Set Lecturer Ablaze For Killing 5 Pupils In Accident In Taraba




Jalingo – Alhaji Kassimu Umar, a Lecturer at the Taraba College of Education (COE) Zing, was on Friday burnt to death in a mob action after he allegedly hit and killed five primary school pupils with a vehicle he was driving.

Mr Joseph Kwaji, the Police Public Relations officer (PPRO), of the Taraba Police Command confirmed the incident in Jalingo. He said that the mob forcefully removed Umar from the Pupule Police Outpost, where he went to report the incident, and the mob burnt him to death.

Pastor Beaten To Stupor By Worshippers, And 2 Colleagues In Taraba State




Pandemonium Nukkai area of the capital city of Taraba state, Jalingo, on March 23, 2014, Sunday, was the scene of pandemonium as two pastors were arrested for reportedly teaming up with some church members to beat up a fellow pastor to stupor.
According Nigerian Eye, a new pastor, who was placed in charge of the UMCN Nukkai, reported for duty on in the morning, but met strong resistance.
The previous pastor and some of the church members did not give him a warm welcome.
They opposed the new pastor and reportedly left him unconscious.

21 Year Old Man Sets Himself Ablaze For Love In Taraba


A 21-year-old man, Mansur Tanko, on Friday, burnt himself to death in Jalingo, after a disagreement with his father, Tanko Mijinyawa, over marriage.

Tanko, according to an eyewitness, Alhaji Jibrin Bala, set himself ablaze because his family refused to approve his wedding with a girl, Blessing.The eyewitness told sympathisers that Tanko introduced Blessing to his father as his proposed wife, but the father kicked against the union, describing it as a bad choice.
Bala said efforts by the father to convince his son to look for another girl failed, as he insisted that he could not survive without Blessing.

POLICE ARRAIGN 27 YEAR OLD MAN FOR RAPING 5 YEAR OLD IN TARABA


The incident allegedly happened on Christmas Day, 2013.
The police on Tuesday arraigned a 27-year-old man, William Julius, in a Jalingo Chief Magistrates’ Court for raping a five-year-old girl.
The accused, a resident of Abuja Phase 2 in Jalingo, however denied the charge when read to him.
The prosecutor, Godfrey Moses, told the court that the offence contravened Section 283 of the Penal Code.
