POLICE: Gov Fayose Donates Rice While Gov Rauf Donates Equipment (PHOTOS)





December is here so is Christmas. Governor Fayose of Ekiti State in line with his promise, shared rice and chicken to members of the Nigerian police force in his state, while in the neighboring state Governor Rauf Aregbesola donates equipment to the police force in his state.

Fatal Spiritual Bath Pastor Arrested





The Pastor who fled after the drowning of two brothers during a spiritual bath cleansing has finally been arrested. (Read here)

 Pastor Samuel Olusoji of New Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Ajah area of Lagos has been arrested by the Police, over the demise of two brothers, Abiodun and Ayinde Oniru, during a spiritual bath at the weekend.

The pastor, who reportedly fled when the incident occurred in a stream in Agombo area of Ajah, was arrested yesterday, four days after the incident.

'We Never Arraigned Ogwuche On Terrorism' – Police Statement




The Police High Command yesterday in Abuja has said they never arraigned Nyanya suspected bomber, Aminu Sadiq Ogwuche  on terrorism. Ogwuche who was recently freed by a court of law, was extradited from Sudan to face terrorism charges as the alleged mastermind of the Nyanya bomb blast.

The Command said the case against him was bungled and regrets that the media misled the public for so long. See a press statement released by the command below:

Leaked Video Of Policemen Beating Up A Pregnant Woman






The Video taken by a witness during an arrest shows a Denver police officer punching a suspect in the face six times and then tripping the man’s girlfriend who is seven-and-a-half months pregnant, causing her to land on her belly and face.

The witness who took the video claims an officer then took the tablet he was using to record the arrest, deleted the video file, not realizing it had already been stored on the electronic cloud.

The limited-use video obtained by FOX 31 in Denver shows the suspect’s head bouncing off the pavement from the force of the punches.


Policeman Kills First Class Graduate In Kaduna






Moses Murtala Aminu, a first class graduate of Economics from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria,  was shot dead by a constable with the Nigeria Police.

 Moses had on Sunday, left his No. 67 Ahmadu Ahidjo Street, Narayi High Cost family residence for a party in Barnawa, Kaduna State.

According to an eye witness Aminu saw the police constable, Alex Okpe, beating up his  girlfriend outside the venue of the party, when he tried to intervene Okpe fired a shot at him, killing him on the spot. Vanguard reports:

Heartbreaking Photo: Police Allegedly Throws Iron Rod At Danfo Bus Injuring A Young Girl




In the words of an eye witness:

    At NAFDAC Busstop, Oshodi, Lagos, I was in the bus when this police man did this to us in the bus, a public bus (danfo). We were all seated in the bus and the bus was moving, when the policeman threw an iron rod at the window, which broke and scattered on all passengers, injuring a girl seated close to the window. We reported the case to the police men who where driving past, they just told us to go and meet the policeman and drove off, left us to our fate"

Three Female Police Officers Beaten And Stripped Naked In Edo State




Three female police officers who were invited by a landlady  to arrest one of her tenants  at Oregbeni quarters in Ikpoba-Okha local government area of Edo State were on Wednesday beaten and stripped naked.

The police officers are currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

The Nation gathered that trouble started when the tenant insisted on taking her bath before going to the police station but the police officers said she should follow them.

A fracas ensued and other residents in the area joined the tenant to beat and stripped the police officers.

Kaduna Police Officer Arrested Over Alleged Gun-Running Commits ‘Suicide’ In Cell




The police officer, DSP Nanbol Audu , who was arrested a few weeks ago over alleged gun-running is reported to have Committed ‘Suicide’ In Cell, in the early hours of yesterday Friday. The Police officer before his arrest and death was  the Command's Armament Officer. Sahara Reporters reports

There are several versions of the story surrounding his death with the police authorities saying he shot himself to death.  Some other sources speculate he must have been gunned down in his cell.

One of his relatives, who called our New York office on the development, insisted that he was killed, pointing out that he could not have shot himself because he had been handcuffed since he was arrested.

BARBARIC!!! Angry Mob Set Lecturer Ablaze For Killing 5 Pupils In Accident In Taraba




Jalingo – Alhaji Kassimu Umar, a Lecturer at the Taraba College of Education (COE) Zing, was on Friday burnt to death in a mob action after he allegedly hit and killed five primary school pupils with a vehicle he was driving.

Mr Joseph Kwaji, the Police Public Relations officer (PPRO), of the Taraba Police Command confirmed the incident in Jalingo. He said that the mob forcefully removed Umar from the Pupule Police Outpost, where he went to report the incident, and the mob burnt him to death.

Thugs Loyal To Monarch’s Nephew Kill Security Guard In Lagos





A security guard attached to the Bello Folawiyo Government Reserved Area in the Ketu Ikosi area of Lagos, Mr. Odion Aimeyekagbon, has been murdered by some assailants, who invaded the area.

A land grabber, identified simply as Enibalomo, was said to have ordered the hoodlums to attack the guard, who was an employee of Real Striker Security Company.

It was learnt that the guard and his colleague had insisted that he present a gate pass before he could be granted exit from the estate.

According to Punch, Enibalomo, a nephew of a monarch in Lagos, was returning from a hotel around 6pm on September 11, when he was stopped by the security officials.

I Killed M Father Over A Stick Of Cigarette (PICTURED)








The Edo State Police Command, yesterday, paraded 63 suspected armed robbers, child defilers and murderers, including a 25-year-old boy who murdered his father after a quarrel over a stick of cigarette he stole from his father.

Confessing his sins, Best Momodu, an indigene of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, who murdered his father, said he committed the dastard act with anger after he stole a stick of cigarette from his father.


He said: “I stole his cigarette and he found out. So he started shouting at me and quarrelling. So, mistakenly I took a knife and stabbed him. I have not seen the dead body but I heard he died. But the community people arrested me after I killed him.”

Police Officer Falls And Dies While Beating His Wife In Lagos






A Police Officer, Inspector Danjuma Daniel attached to a police division in Apapa, Lagos, died on Thursday afternoon during a fight with his own wife.

The scuffle between Inspector Daniel and his wife got so serious  that the couple fell from the balcony of their apartment ─ a two-storey building. The couple, it was learnt, was staying at the Ijeh Police Barracks, Obalende, Lagos.

    The late police inspector and his wife, identified simply as Ada, who had lived in the barracks for about 10 years, sustained grave injuries from the fall...


According to Punch, when they were rushed to a nearby hospital, Daniel was said to have been confirmed dead by the medical personnel, while the wife was admitted for treatment.

Police Officer Killed Woman, Lit Her On Fire After ‘Romantic Encounter’(PICTURED)







 An Atlanta police officer was busted trying to skip town Thursday, nearly one week after he kidnapped a woman he met online, took her to a secluded suburban area, shot her and then set her dead body on fire, police said.

Tahreem Zeus Rana, 23, was caught around 8:30 a.m. Thursday after he tried to board a flight to Monterey, Mexico, possibly en route to India, WSB-TV reported.

The murder suspect was on the no-fly list, cops said, and has since been fired.

"We are shocked and saddened by these developments,” the department said of the three-year veteran. “The officer has been relieved from duty, and is in a non-enforcement status."
 Rana met 26-year-old Vernicia Woodard on Backpage.com for a “romantic exchange” in Rana’s hometown of Hapeville, a southern Atlanta suburb, police there said. He took the woman to a rural part of the town, shot her several times, then lit her on fire, police said.

Policeman Allegedly Kills Okada Man In Ajah (PHOTOS)









  



According to a Blog reader who is at the scene, a policeman this morning shot dead an Okada rider. He said his body is still lying on the road and has caused serious traffic along Badore Road in Ajah. He said he got there after the altercation and shooting had occurred so does not know what happened but will find out. Hope the body will be taken care of soon...Details later...

TRUE LIFE STORY: Policeman Flees After Mistaking Eboka For Ebola







This hilarious  story is from  Leadershipng...It is a true live story.
In what looks like an illegal road block mounted by some suspected mobile policemen around Umunede new Road junction on the popular Asaba-Benin Expressway at the weekend created funny scenes when one of the policemen, believed to have hailed from the northern part of the country, ran and shouted for help after mistaking Eboka for Ebola.

Those who saw him running at the state of confusion also took to their heels, while those trapped in their vehicles that could not immediately run for their dare lives watched hopelessly for the worst to come.

It was gathered that the mobile policeman had demanded to check the particularly of a privately owned car and shouted at the owner of the car to bring his particulars.

Landlady’s Children Cut Tenant’s Private Part (GRAPHIC PHOTO)





 A 35-year-old man, Yinka Offehin, is battling for his life at a private hospital in Lagos State after his scrotum was cut by the children of his landlady.

The Edo State indigene, who resides on Popoola Street, off Abaranje Road in the Ikotun area of Lagos, was said to have been attacked while sleeping in his room with his family members.

His wife, Bisi, who was with him when the incident happened, identified the assailants as Solomon and Damilola, the children of the landlady.

    She said, “On Thursday morning, around 3am, while we were sleeping, we heard loud bangs on our door. We initially thought they were armed robbers because the house beside ours had recently been robbed.“When they entered, we saw they were children of our landlady. They began destroying our electronics and other property.

Bricklayer Dies While Testing Buller-Proof Charm





Pandemonium broke out in the Asipa community as an apprentice bricklayer, identified as Rasheed Sulaiman, was shot dead while testing the potency of a bullet-proof charm given to him by a herbalist.

A resident of Asipa, a community in the Ife North Local Government Area, told PUNCH Metro that Sulaiman, on Saturday called his cousin, Siji, to follow him to a secluded place to test the charm. Sulaiman wore the amulet and gave a gun to his cousin to fire at him. The cousin fired the shot and killed Sulaiman instantly.
