Wife Arrested For Beating And Striping Husband's Girlfriend In Bayelsa







 Men of the Nigeria Police Force in Bayelsa State have arrested a house-wife and six others for assaulting and stripping a  23-year-old woman naked, in the Okaka area of the state capital, Yenagoa, for allegedly having an illicit affair with the woman's husband.

The husband, a driver attached to the Bayelsa State government house and a native of Akwa Ibom State, was said to have fled the scene of the incident after his wife and her friends caught him and his lover in the act. The wife was left with no choice than to beat the fine girl and strip her...

    A regular visitor to the home of Mr Selekeowei Olokumo, in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria’s South-South region, would probably have noticed a small make shift building directly opposite his one bedroom apartment which could easily be mistaken for a generator cage.

    To think it is a place where he stores his old and worn out property would not be out of place, as it was haphazardly built with wood and carton on what could be seen as a semi refuse dump site.

    It was a feeling of shock when Channels Television realised that it was not for keeping his generator or other items but where his 16-year old daughter, Blessing Olokumo, had called home for almost three years.

President Jonathan's Cousin's Kidnappers Demand N500 Million Ransom




Nitabai, aged 70, was abducted last Sunday by ten armed men at his Otuoke residence in Ogbia local government area of Bayelsa State and taken away in his private Sports Utitlity Vehicle after collecting N400,000 from his wife.

The vehicle was later recovered at Unuegbum waterfront where it was abandoned, an indication that the gunmen escaped through the creek.

The victim, his wife, his wife’s sister and three of his children were in the house when the gunmen struck.

Couple Brutalized By Dickson's Sister-In-Law Recuperating At A Yenagoa Hospital




SaharaReporters has learnt that a couple, Ambrose and Bina Oregbeme, who were on Tuesday mercilessly beaten by Governor Seriake Dickson’s sister-in-law, Tare Konyefa, and her aides  are currently recuperating at a private hospital in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital.
Several witnesses told our correspondent that Ms. Bina Oregbeme, a legal practitioner employed by the Legal Aid Council, was brutalized along with her husband, Ambrose Oregbeme, for asserting their right of way.

Students protest alleged hike in fees in Otueke University, Bayelsa




Students of the Federal University, Otueke, in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa, Thursday protested a purported increase in school fees.
The protesting students, who barricaded roads leading to the Otuoke Community and the institution, described the increase in the school fees as unacceptable. The fees were allegedly increased from N55,000 to N85,000.
