Two Teenage Nigerian Sex Slaves Rescued In Burkina Faso

Two teenage Nigerian girls who were trafficked to Burkina Faso to become sex slaves have been rescued.
They were rescued by an anti-human trafficking NGO founded by a Nigerian, the National Association Against Trafficking of Young Persons (Lutra – Jeunes) and known in French as Association Nationale de Lutte Contre le Traffic des Jeunes.

The girls named Rejoice Chioma Israel, 16, and Rosemary ‎Uchenna Emmanuel, 19 were rescued by some people who called the anti-human trafficking NGO, PM News reports.
Recounting her experience, Rosemary said they both worked at a small restaurant in Port Harcourt where they earned about ‎N3,000 a month, away from their families in Imo and Abia States.

 A 19-year-old girl (names withheld) Thursday narrated before a Federal High Court in Lagos how she was lured into prostitution in Burkina Faso.She was working as a sales girl in Victoria Island before two middle-aged men told her they could help her find a better job abroad.The men, Christian Awanebi and Ariwayo Olowede, who pleaded not guilty, allegedly took her to Burkina Faso sometime in 2011.
Led in evidence by Mrs Anthonia Mgbemeje of the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), the girl said the men promised to help her get a job in a super store as a sales girl.

How Aunty Helen Introduced Into Prostitution, Teenage Prostitutes Open Up (PHOTOS)

A man and his wife who were reported to be operating a brothel have been arrested by police in Oyo after they were suspected of harbouring underage prostitutes.
Temitope and Helen Falusi met their waterloo when their reported venue of operation, at the Sharp Corner Hotel in the Orita Aperin area of Ibadan, was invaded by operatives of the Anti-Human Trafficking section of the State Criminal Investigation Department.

Four girls were rescued from the brothel with 2 of them believed to be between the ages of 14 and 15.
