31 Dead As Twin Bomb Explosions Rock Jos
According to AFP,government officials have confirmed 31 dead as a bomb blast rocked Jos central market yesterday evening.The bombing reportedly took place around Mr Biggs roundabout on Ahmadu Bello Way..

Suicide Bomber Dies In Unsuccessful Jos Viewing Center Attack
An attempt by a suicide bomber to kill football fans in Jos on Saturday night was unsuccessful but he was killed in the blast.
The bomber, who approached Jos viewing centre while people were watching the match between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, could not get there before his car exploded. It was a few minutes into the second half of the match.
A source close to the scene told one of our correspondents that, “The suicide bomber wanted to attack a viewing centre where Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid fans were watching the UEFA Champion League final.”

Two bombs just went off in Jos now..Around Jos Main Market,between Railway,Terminus and Old Jos University Teaching Hospital .It's a densely populated area and the commercial hub of the city..The second blast went off ,killing those who rushed to the scene of the first bomb . An eyewitness who was shopping says
.. people are running, cars smashing into each other ,and bodies flying...and the whole roads are blocked as some abandoned their cars and ran..
Many have lost their lives but the number of casualties not yet confirmed.

HOW SIX POLICEMEN KILLED AND BURIED BUSINESSMAN, CLAIMING HE WAS A ROBBER

According to this report by MPN, six police men brutally killed Stephen Anakwe, a dog breeder in Jos and buried him same day, claiming that he was an armed robber. The report:
On January 6, 2012 in New Nyanya area of the state, six policemen – Inspector Danladi Lelika, Inspector Odua Eketo, Sergeant Vincent Manu, Corporal Christopher Maikasua, Corporal Musa Audu and Corporal Samson Mago, were on a patrol & allegedly shot dead Stephen Anakwe, a dog breeder in Jos.
As if that was not enough, acting on the report from the patrol team, few days later, the police paraded the corpse of the defenseless civilian, branding him a suspected criminal. Infuriated by the allegation, a younger brother to the deceased, Mr. Stanley Olisa, petitioned the then Inspector General of Police, Hafiz Ringim, and other authorities about the injustice and the criminality.

‘Soldiers in my house could not protect my family’ --Jos Resident

Moses Guduma who lost nine of his relatives in the recent attack on some villages in Riyom local government area of Plateau state has said that men of the Special Task Force living in his house could not protect them in the most critical moments they needed them most.
Guduma was said to have lost his wife, four children, his mother, father and grandmother in the killings.
Gunmen, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen had on Wednesday attacked four villages – Gon, Gwa-rim, Torok and Angwan Wereng – in Riyom local government area, leaving in their trail tales of weeping and bloodshed. At the end of the pre-dawn attack, 16 people were killed.
