Tens of thousands of people marched – and were still marching, as night came on - in solidarity with the families of those killed by law enforcement officers. The protesters, who were black, white, Latino, Asian, young and elderly, streamed through the city streets in Washington, New York, Boston, Chicago and Oakland. They carried protest signs that read “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” and banners that read “Black Lives Matter”.

Pro-porn protesters organized a massive demonstration against new regulations from the British Board of Film Censors (BBFC) on Friday afternoon outside Parliament in the U.K.

Impeachment Of Nasarawa Governor Turns Bloody; 3 Men Killed

Three people have died while one person was seriously wounded during clashes between Gwandara and Eggon youths who were protesting over the commencement of impeachment proceedings against Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State on Thursday.

Leadership gathered that some armed Gwandara youths stormed the house of an Eggon man around Old Alamis Market and set it ablaze along with his car. Many governorship posters of information minister Labaran Maku were said to have been pasted on the walls of the house.

Kano Protests Announcement of Sanusi as new Emir, Kano Residents Riot (PHOTOS)

According by the tweets of Jamil Abubakar, Son of Inspector General of Police, riot has broken out in Kano state following the announcement of former CBN governor Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the new Emir of Kano. According to his tweets, Jamil says the people of Kano are not happy with the announcement and are causing trouble in the town. He however says the situation has been brought under control and no life was lost.

Some residents of Kano State on Sunday took to the street following the announcement of the former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, as the Emir of Kano State.

POLICE BRUTALLY ATTACKS PROTESTING POLYTECHNIC STUDENTS, ARRESTS HUNDREDS (PHOTOS)

Nine months after the closure of Polytechnics in the counry due to strike action by the Academic Staff Union,  Polytechnic students are still at home.
Yesterday morning, students from various polytechnics and colleges of education took to the streets to peacefully  protest the lingering strike embarked upon by Academic Unions in polytechnics that has left the tertiary institutions closed for 9 months plus.
Using placard, the students demanded that the federal government should implement the 2009 ASUP agreement and end the HND/BSC dichotomy.

PHOTOS : POLICE THROWS TEAR GAS AT POLYTECHNIC LECTURERS AND STUDENT'S PEACEFUL PROTEST

Lecturers and a few polytechnic students gathered at the federal Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, to ask for reopening of Nigerian polytechnics whose lecturers had embarked on a strike since last year.

The Nigerian police in response fired tear gas canisters at the protesting polytechnic lecturers who were  engaged in a peaceful protest to force the Nigerian government to have dialogue with the lecturers relating to their demands.
 The protesting Polytechnic lecturers  first gathered  at the Eagle Square early this morning  to protest non implementation of the agreement made by the both Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP) and the Federal Government and later marched down to the Ministry  of Education where Minister of Labour Emeka Wogu addressed the protesters and promised that their grievances would be addressed. The minister then  appealed for patience and understanding from the lecturers.

Riots Spread Throughout Ukraine

From Ukraine's Capital city the riots in Ukraine have spread to nearly half the country, as angry demonstrators hurled firebombs, rocks and fireworks at officers.
Riot police responded with tear gas and several dozen protesters were rushed to a makeshift medical area to be treated.
27-year-old Artur Kapelan one of the protesters said "we will force the authorities to respect us, not they but we will dictate the conditions of a truce".
