Gunmen Kill German, Abduct Another In Sagamu





On Friday morning,  October 24th, Unknown gunmen killed a German national and abducted another  in Sagamu, Ogun state. The two men, who worked for Julius Berger, were traveling in two separate vehicles without their security escorts when the gunmen attacked and fired shots into their vehicles.

Two Footballers Shot Dead In A Gun Attack On Their Team





Two Mexican football players were killed in a gun attack against their team bus in a spasm of violence that left 4 others dead in troubled Guerrero state, officials said Saturday

The bus of third division club Chilpancingo Hornets was looking for a spot to park in the restive town of Iguala late Friday when unidentified gunmen opened fire, state prosecutors said.

Some team members were wounded in the shooting, including the manager, who was out of danger. Authorities retracted earlier reports that the driver had been killed.


Enugu State University, ESUT, Invaded By Gunmen, 3 Students Shot





THREE students of the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT, Agbani were, Friday night, shot and wounded by suspected armed bandits who invaded their hostel.

The students were undergoing treatment at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, UNTH, Ituku-Ozalla, Enugu, where they were rushed to in the early hours of yesterday.
The father of one of the students said  his son was undergoing surgery at the hospital.

Gunmen Kill Monarch In Bauchi State





The District Head of Soro, Abdulraham Baba, has been killed by gunmen in Bauchi State.
The incident occurred on Saturday at about 7:45pm.

Confirming the incident, The state’s police spokesperson, Haruna Mohammed, said that the gunmen, suspected to be armed robbers, who also injured two other persons, were about six in number.

“On 2-8-14 at about 19:45 hours, six gunmen suspected to be armed bandits, stormed Soro town in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi state, killing the District Head of Soro, Abdulrahman Isa Baba, and two other traders.

Gunmen Shoot UNILAG Student In The Head





 A University of Lagos student was reportedly shot in the head yesterday by unidentified gunmen at the King Jaja Hall area of the university on Monday. Fortunately, the student who was identified as Sapara, a final year student of Philosophy, had his face covered in blood instead of being dead after the bullet scraped the side of his head.

He was subsequently taken to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, and official report have it that he is in a stable condition. The incident had however led to chaos as students were seen running in different directions after the gunshot was heard.

Punch reports that according to eyewitnesses, they saw a car speed off after the shooting, noting that the perpetrators might have carried out the attack from there.

Gunmen Hijack School Bus In Nyanya, Abuja

A few days after Nyanya suffered a second bomb blast in less than a month, gunmen have just this morning invaded the area taking away a school bus belonging to, Divine Kiddies Academy, fortunately the bus was empty as the pupils who had been picked up from home had alighted the bus before it was taken away by the gunmen.

Parents of the kids have since been trooping into the school premises to pick up their kids.

The Principal of the school confirmed the incident.

Unknown Gunmen Burn Pregnant Woman, Butcher Son, Shoot Others in Benue State

The deceased were reportedly farming in Iwenge village at about 10am, when the bloody attack was launched.
The terrified youth of the affected area conveyed the corpses of the deceased farmers to the palace of the Ter Makurdi, Chief Sule Abenga, urging the officials to end the ongoing crisis.
They blocked the highway causing a several-hour traffic congestion.

Hoodlums stab Councillor To Death In Rivers State





A councillor in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, Mr. Sotonye Georgewill, was on Sunday night killed by two gunmen.

Georgewill was stabbed to death at about 8.45pm on Accra Street in Port Harcourt by his assailants, who took to their heels after carrying out their operation.

It was gathered that the deceased, who represented Ward 2 as a councillor in Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, was a member of the All Progressives Congress.

The councillor, who left a wife and two children behind, was said to have come out of his residence to wait for an unidentified person that called him on his mobile phone.

Gunmen Kill 3 Police Officers In Katsina State




Gunmen on motorcycles on Monday morning shot dead three police officers.
The incident happened close to a village, Gidan Mutum Daya, in Kusada Local Government Area of Katsina State.
The village is a border community between Katsina and Kano.
A witness, Sa’adu Kabir, who was driving a commercial bus from Kano to Katsina, said it occurred at about 10:00 a.m.
Mr. Kabir said he had just driven his nine passengers past the police checkpoint where they were stopped by the police officers. After the search, he drove past the police a little and appealed to his passengers that he wanted to urinate.

GUNMEN ABDUCT PRESIDENT JONATHAN'S UNCLE IN OTUOKE





Heavily-armed gunmen on Sunday night abducted Chief Inengite Nitabai, who was said to be an uncle of President Goodluck Jonathan’s, in their home village of Otuoke, in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
Nitabai, 65, was said to have been involved in the recovery of a piece of land he sold several years ago, when he was snatched by the gunmen, who numbered about 10. They appeared to have been waiting as he returned from an outing, and they took him away in his vehicle.

Over 40 Killed As Boko Haram Hits Borno Again




Boko Haram strikes again in Borno as over 40 people lost their lives yesterday, Tuesday February 11th in Konduga village. The attack was carried out by gunmen suspected to be members Boko Haram.

The gunmen arrived the village around 5:30pm yesterday and started shooting people. Several houses and a secondary school were burnt down according to security officials who visited the village after the attack. One security personnel said he counted at least 40 bodies following the unexpected attack.

 The attackers met no resistance from security agencies as they carried out their deed. Military men reportedly arrived after the men had gone and have taken over the security situation in the area.

THREE KILLED AS GUNMEN ATTACK MOSQUE AT GOV. KWANKWASO'S FAMILY HOUSE


Gunmen, Tuesday, opened fire at worshippers inside a mosque located at the family home of the Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, killing three persons and injuring three others including children.
The spokesperson of the Kano Command of Nigerian Police Force, Magaji Majiya, who confirmed the incident to PREMIUM TIMES over the telephone, Wednesday, said the attack took place at the mosque in Kwankwaso Town of Madobi Local Government Area.
