As Ebola continues to speard across West Africa, a community, Pinga, in Ghana has called on the Ghanaian government to check the flow of their Guinean miner neighbours into the community for their illegal mining activity. The members of the community fear the miners who are returning from their home country, Guinea, might bring the dreaded EDV with them. Reports Sahara Reporters
Residents of the small Ghanaian town of Pinga in the Bole district of Ghana’s Northern region have raised concerns over Ebola transmission from illegal Guinean miners in their town.
Reports indicate that many Guineans, who have previously engaged in illegal gold prospecting in northern Ghana, have been returning to Ghana after selling their bounty in Guinea and elsewhere, causing great concern for residents of the town.
