UNIBEN Student Killed By Suspected Cultists

 Mr Gendedio Ejyrognene,  a 300-level student of the Department of Chemistry,
gruesomely murdered by suspected cultists.

According to sources  the deceased was gunned down at about 7pm Friday night by the suspected cultists.

The University Deputy Registrar/ Public Relations Officer, Harris Osaze Osarenren, who confirmed the killing of the student in a statement,  he lamented that “UNIBEN has lost a student.”

Bride, Groom Shot Dead On Wedding Eve In Enugu

Gunmen in Enugu suspected to be cult members shot and killed a couple at a filling station as they waited in their car to buy fuel. The couple   who were finalizing preparations for their wedding the next day, Saturday, 6th September, died on the spot. Vanguard reports

A man and woman set to be joined in holy matrimony in Enugu were, yesterday, shot dead by gunmen suspected to be cult members.

Three other persons including the manager of a filling station were shot dead during the sporadic shooting by the unknown assailants who had laid siege on Abakpa and Trans-Ekulu area of Enugu.

The incident occurred Friday night at a filling station close to Dhamija Bridge opposite Our Lord’s Chosen Church, Trans-Ekulu on the Enugu – Onitsha Expressway.

John Enajamo, a member of a secret cult was one of the  armed robbers  arrested by the Ogun State police command recently. The robbers who felt they had had a successful robbery outing after they snatched N650,000 from one Mr Obanla Isiaka in Igbesa, Ogun State met their waterloo minutes after the operation, as they were nabbed by an anti-crime patrol team attached to Agbara Division, with the assistance of community members.
The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Ikemefuna Okoye, revealed this recently while briefing journalists on the achievements of his command at the police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.

A girl in Kwara has been arrested by police in the state over reports that she lured her friend to be raped by cultists.
Mary Awolola, said to be a cultist herself, is said tp have gotten 5 of her gang members to rape her friend.
Awolola is said to have blamed her action on the fact that the victim had refused to join the cult despite being pressured to do so.
Nigerian Eye reports:

Mary confessed at the Police headquarters in Ilorin that she was also gang-raped much earlier by four boys before she was initiated into the cult group.
