Obsanjo Warns Nigerians Not To Leave Politics To Evil Men

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday in Abeokuta, Ogun State enjoined Christians to participate actively in politics.
The former president warned Christians against being indifferent towards politics, saying this could result in the country falling into the hands of evil men who he said could not offer Nigeria any good.
Obasanjo said this during the fifth anniversary thanksgiving service of the Chapel of Christ the Glorious King, a religious arm of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta.

While thanking God for the existence of the chapel of which he is the Chief Promoter, he said Christians should stop shying away from partisan politics for the good of the entire country.

Obasanjo said, ” I want to say here that Christians should participate in politics. We should not leave politics in the hands of the evil ones who cannot offer this country any good.”
Earlier in his sermon delivered on the occasion, the former president of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Reverend Ola Akande described the former president as a rare and special gift to Nigeria.
Akande noted that the likes of Obasanjo usually came once in a generation.
