A Christian mob in the Central African Republic turned cannibal after they succeeded in dragging a Muslim off a bus, beat him up and stabbed and machete d him to death, the leader of the mod Ouandja Magloire now know as "Mad Dog" told BBC he had seen his victim sitting on a minibus and decided to follow him.
The christian mob dragged the man from the bus, beat, stabbed and machete d him but Malgloire chopped off the mas's leg and started chewing chunks off it before swallowing them. He said he did to revenge the slaughter of his pregnant wife, as well as his sister -in-law and her baby in the country's capital city of Bangui.
The horrendous scenes were captured on video and mobile phones by eyewitnesses as people vomited in the streets, one of the individuals took hold of an arm and went and bought bread and started chewing along with his bread, another witness said he watched a man wrap the head up proclaiming that he would "feast on it".
Sectarian violence flared up again in the Central African Republic after the weekend resignation of President Michel Djotodia, the first Muslim to rule the Christian majority nation.
These reports echo tales of the rule of Jean Bedel Bokssa who ruled the CAR with an iron fist between 1966 and 1975, he was regarded as a brutal dictator, accused of eating human flesh incorporating it in meals for visiting officials and feeding slain opponents to animals.
He received a posthumous pardon in 2010 after his death in 1996.
Some Christians fighters believe human flesh makes them invincible and put chunks of it inside amulets that they wear.
