About a week after he fled Liberia over fears of contracting the Ebola virus, actor Jim Iyke has released a statement on the matter. Find it below...

    May I humbly apologize if my comments on Ebola – based on fear – were taken out of context. The last thing I wanted to do was to alarm anyone.

    My heart goes out to all the families who have been affected by the Ebola virus – those who have lost their lives or loved ones, those who are still bravely fighting the disease and all of the communities who are battling to keep the infection under control. You are all in my prayers".

Nollywood actor Jim Iyke was featured In UK's Daily mail today as he hurriedly exited Liberia where the Ebola virus is on rampage right now. MailOnline reports


A Nigerian actor has sparked outrage after posting an image of himself wearing an Ebola mask while sitting in a first class airport lounge as he flees Liberia.
'Nollywood' star Jim Iyke posted a message on his Instagram page saying he had cut short a business trip to Monrovia in Liberia - where at least 600 people have already died from the disease.

The image of Iyke sitting on green leather-clad seats in the airport's luxury first class lounge while wearing an expensive designer watch and sunglasses was accompanied with the caption: 'Not ashamed to admit this scares the Jesus outta me #Ebola.'

But bestofnollywood.com says Hajiya Habiba Abubakar (whom Jim was rumoured to have dated) granted them the interview, after Jim Iyke’s Mom, who she took care of, passed away few days ago. It was a question and answer session. Find it below;

Habiba: Well I didn’t feel good  but knowing her fully well, her death is a rest to herself, she has suffered enough.
