Some Don't See Anything Good In Jonathan-- Anenih

Chief Tony Anenih, Chairman of the board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, says some Nigerians don’t see anything good in the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.

The former minister of works, however begged southern states to support Jonathan in the governance of the nation.

Anenih made the call in an address he delivered on Monday at the Southern Leaders Summit, held in Calabar.

In his speech, which was sent to our correspondent in Abuja, Anenih said the President needed the support of the southern states to face the challenges created by the Boko Haram, the global economic recession and unrest, and to keep the country united.

Igbo Leaders Of Thought Commend Move To Amend Okoroumu's Report

  

Concerned Igbo Leaders of Thought yesterday expressed satisfaction with the ongoing plans to amend the report of the Senator Femi Okoroumu-led Presidential Advisory Committee (PAC) on the proposed national dialogue earlier submitted to President Goodluck Jonathan by the committee.

The committee had recommended that participation in the conference should be based on federal constituencies.
Igbo leaders as well as well as other geo-political zones, which proposed that the outing should be a conference of ethnic nationalities with the sole aim of producing a new constitution.
