The violence in the North-Eastern part of the country continued yesterday in Borno as a bomb went off in the capital.
Official casualty figures have not been released as regards the incident which is said to have occurred at about 8:20 am.

Parents of school girls abducted last Tuesday from Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State by Boko Haram terrorists, yesterday, recounted their experience in the dreaded Sambisa forest in search of their daughters who are being held there.

The aggrieved, traumatised parents who spoke when the state governor, Kashim Shettima visited the school, also disputed the figures provided by the state government of those who have escaped.

The parents had vowed last week to sacrifice their lives and storm the forest because the military had allegedly failed to enter the forest and rescue their children.

Suicide Bombers Die In Bid To Attack NNPC In Maiduguri (UPDATES)

Four terrorists believed to be suicide bombers, apparently heading for an NNPC facility along Maiduguri-Damboa road, have died in their IED laden vehicles. This latest news comes from sources inside the Nigerian military.
The explosions took place at Mule, on the outskirts of Maiduguri. Three of the four explosive laden vehicles were demobilized by shots fired at them by soldiers at the checkpoint shortly before the explosions that rocked the area, according to a release issued out of the Nigerian Defense Headquarters, from the office of Chris Olukolade.

Boko Haram: Maiduguri Mortuaries Are Full, While Evacuation And Burial Of Corpses Is Halted

Many dead bodies were dumped in front of mortuaries in hospitals in the capital city of Borno State, Maiduguri, as the number of killed in Friday’s and Saturday’s Boko Haram attacks is overwhelming.

According to DailyTrust, about 500 corpses, mostly of dead insurgents, were brought to the mortuaries at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) and the State Specialists Hospital. However, their facilities were full, as hospitals could not provide space for bodies evacuated from the streets by health workers.

Therefore, dozens of unclaimed bodies, allegedly of Boko Haram members, were placed in front of mortuaries. While most of civilian casualties have been buried by their families and friends on Friday and on Saturday.

Jakana Viillage Near Maiduguri wiped Out By Boko Haram

Boko Haram has continued their onslaught on villages in Borno State unchecked
The free reign of violence and impunity by Boko Haram militants continued today as they invaded Jakana village some 23 kilometers from Maiduguri killing unspecified number of villagers and burning down most of the village.

Several villagers fled the carnage to Maiduguri. The fleeing villagers said the Islamist militants had a free reign killing and maiming whomever they choose to kill.
