KADUNA BOMBING: 25 Killed In Kaduna Bomb Explosion

At least 25 people died in an explosion that rocked central Kaduna, police said.

The blast occurred along Isa Kaita road which leads to the popular Murtala Square.

A witness said the explosion targeted a prominent Islamic cleric, Dahiru Bauchi, who had delivered Ramadan lecture at the Square.

The sheikh escaped unhurt as the bomb, concealed in a red Volkswagen golf car parked by the road side, went off, a witness, Hassan Mohammed, told PREMIUM TIMES.

Vice-President Namadi Sambo Loses Over N200 Million To Thievies




Vice President, Arc. Namadi Sambo, has lost over N200 million (over $1.2m) to armed night marauders, according to reports from his home state, Kaduna in North-Central Nigeria. Arc. Namadi Sambo lost the fortune about a fortnight ago.
“The incident, which has been kept under wraps and downplayed in government circles, has greatly unsettled the number two citizen, who is not only unhappy that gunmen could enter his premises in Kaduna and cart away his life investments unhindered, but also that almost three weeks after, security agencies, especially the police, seem not to have any clue on how a sitting vice president would be so brazenly robbed,”

SHORTAGE OF BROOMS IN KADUNA SOUTH AS APC BEGINS REGISTRATION



Kaduna South is running out of brooms as a result of the All Progressive Congress (APC) registration.
According to DailyTrust, many shop owners and residents were requesting for brooms in Zangon Kataf, when a former Deputy Governor of the state, Engr. James Bawa Magaji, moved to villages in Kaduna South shortly after his registration in Fadan Kaje Gida, on February 12, 2014, Wednesday.

The Politics Of Letter Writing Has Reached Kaduna As Gana Writes Namadi

The letter writing politics has reached Northern Nigeria as a strong member of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the region Engr. Umar Gana wrote Vice President Namadi Sambo an open letter cautioning him to wake up from slumber and save crumbling PDP in the North. And also tackle serious issues as the region slips away to rival All Progressive Congress (APC).
SaharaReporters obtained a copy of the letter dated 9th December, 2013, from a prominent member who chairs a leading Federal Government agency in Abuja.
The letter was addressed to Sambo was copied to National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, Chief Tony Anenih chair PDP Board of Trustees and President Goodluck Jonathan through his Chief of Staff.
Gana in the letter publicly tell Sambo that he is incapable of addressing the creeping collapse of the PDP in the North West Zone and Kaduna State, which he draws immediate attention of Jonathan in view of its being the largest and most populated zone in the country with 28% to 30% of entire voters in the country going by 2011 figures.
He was also quoted in the open letter as saying that, Governor Mukhtar Yero of Kaduna state has skewed misunderstanding of the dangers ahead in their home state of Kaduna, saying, “To me, there is a crucial need for collective concerted efforts to salvage the situation. Otherwise, giving our past ugly experience, we have no alternative than either to join the APC or flee for our dear lives, including the lives of the members of our immediate and extended families."
