33 Killed In Mafa, Borno State As Soldiers Flee Security Positions At The Arrival Of Boko Haram Millitants Convoy
Boko Haram Islamist militant sect today killed 33 villagers in Mafa, Mafa Local government area of Borno state earlier today making the number of people killed in the state to 120 in the last four days.
The sect also ambushed and killed at least 14 policemen who were on a mission to help civilians in one of the villages earlier attacked by Boko Haram militants last weekend.
A Nigerian senator representing Borno , Khalifa Ahmed Zanna, has confirmed the casualties according to reports from the state. Eyewitnesses said soldiers stationed in the area fled their security positions as the militants arrived the area in a convoy of pick up vans.
